The initial visual representation of the relationships between the categories, and the content areas of the site. The conceptual map is used as a springboard for developing the site map and serves as the initial grouping of like objects and ideas.
Answers the following questions:
  • How can the client be sure the site architecture is going in the right direction?
  • What will the site structure look like?
  • What will go where?
  • What elements will be grouped together?
  • Where will new elements in future phases be placed?
